Techno Q was founded in 1995 by Zeyad Jaidah (Managing Director) and Abdulla Alansari (Executive Director).

Both graduated in Mechanical Engineering from Texas University they came back to Qatar with the passion for Home Theatre Systems, booming in USA at that time. Unpacking their bags back from USA, they saw the opportunity to launch a business out of their common passion for Audiovisual applications.

From there they started-up Techno Q as a small team, focused on installing Home Theatres in residential environments in Qatar. It was a tough beginning, as the first mover in the market, where the Home Theatre technology was almost unknown.

The capability to anticipate the needs of the market and the agility to change quickly, has given Techno Q the opportunity
to sustain and grow. In 1996 came the first project for an established business: Alfardan BMW Showroom, which gave Techno Q the chance to prove its professional skills.

From then it has been a rapid and sustained move from small residential projects to retail solutions, from corporate projects to international tenders issued by designers, consultants and developers.

Including new System Solution, from audiovisual in 1995 to Security in 1997, from Lighting to Hotel Management System
in 1998. A sustainable, progressive growth made through the selection of the top quality system and equipment providers, continuous training and focused investments.

But also with the courage to engage new challenges, running demanding projects that strove the team capabilities and
the management skills. In 2001 they’ve been appointed by Weill Cornell Medical College to develop the Audiovisual System, a large scale project of 33 rooms and 4 Auditoriums. And short afterwards Texas A&M University called them in requiring a full AV systems for 55 rooms and 3 auditoriums.

A growth supported by the current figures: 200 people in the team, over 2600 mq office area, over 100 relevant projects handled every year, an annual 20% turnover growth. And confirmed by the top-end projects under development:
the Pearl, the Al Shaqab Academy, the Museum of Islamic Art and the Khalifa Stadium among the others.
